Seeding
Davis Total Lawn Care only uses high quality Turfgrass seed when seeding your lawn. Many cheaper turfgrass seeds are available but may contain weed seeds and have lower germination rates. All Turfgrass seeds used by Davis Total Lawn Care are tested and certified for weed seed content and germination.
Over-seeding
When over-seeding a lawn, we aerate the lawn, fertilize with a premium starter fertilizer, and seed with high quality seed. This process is more expensive than just spreading the seed over the lawn, but it is more successful in establishing a dense stand of turf. Aeration loosens the soil for better root development of the turfgrass seedlings. The starter fertilizer is balanced to provide the proper nutrients necessary for establishing a strong healthy stand of turf. High quality seed provides higher germination rates, and very low levels of noxious weed seeds.
